Tummy Cramps

Sejak sebulan dua nih...Ummi kerap sangat kene tummy cramp nih...
sakitnya boleh buat dahi berpeluh, nafas tersekat²..
selalunya kalo tengah berbaring kat atas katil, then nak tukar position dengan cepat....
terus perut cramp...takleh nak gerak sebab sakitttt...
Ummi urut perut pelan² sambil doa semoga cepat hilang...
terpaksa la bertahan dekat 5 minit jugakla sebelum baik sakitnya

Tapi sekarang ni, bukan setakat berbaring atas katil je...
duduk atas kusi kat opis pun leh jadi..
tgh driving pun leh jadi...
cuma sakitnya tak sekuat macam tengah berbaring tu...
risau gak Ummi sebab previous pregnancies tak penah kene sekerap nih...

Jadi, Ummi pun merajinkan diri tanya En. Google...dan jumpa artikel ni dari pregnancy-calendars:

Cramping During Pregnancy

Cramping During PregnancyIt is not uncommon to experience cramping at some stage during your pregnancy and there are many reasons as to why you may experience this.

Having said that, severe cramping or stomach pain is not normal and should you experience any cramping or pains in conjunction with any of the following symptoms, you need to call your healthcare provider as soon as possible:
bleeding - primarily bright red blood
Fever
Chills
Lightheaded or faint
Vaginal discharge

Normal causes for stomach cramps during pregnancy

There are a number of reasons why you may experience cramping during different stages of pregnancy, and these may include:

Implantation – many women experience a pain which is similar to their period pain during the first weeks and this is usually caused when implantation takes place.
Ligaments Stretching – this is usually more common during the second trimester, as the muscles and ligaments which are supporting your growing uterus stretch---> Ummi memang dalam 2nd trimester
False Labor – it is not uncommon for women to experience false labor or Braxton Hicks during the third trimester. This is caused by the muscles in the uterus preparing for labor as they stretch and release, often at irregular intervals.
Gas – if you are suffering from gas, then there is a good chance that you may experience some cramping associated with it--->selalunya bila Ummi kene tummy cramp ni..lps urut perut pelan², kompem akan sendawa
Constipation – of course the same would apply if you were constipated.
Cramps – in the last remaining weeks of your pregnancy cramping is usually an indication that labor will start soon.

What can you do about abdominal pains?

If you are suffering from abdominal pains or cramps during your pregnancy, then try the following:

Avoid quick positional changes.
Try bending backwards to relieve the pain. Just be sure not to put too much strain on your back – otherwise you could end up with back ache as well.
If you are suffering from gas then walking or some other forms of exercise which are not too stressful can often relieve gas pains.

When should you call your doctor?

During the first weeks of your pregnancy severe cramping is often a sign of an Ectopic pregnancy. There may also be other reasons why you may experience cramping, and these include:

Stomach virus
Food poisoning
Appendicitis
Urinary infection
Kidney infection
Pre-eclampsia

There are of course other reasons as to why you may be suffering from stomach cramps, but if the cramps are severe, then you should inform your healthcare provider ASAP.

Bila Kasih Beralih Arah.....

Kisah 1:

5 tahun yang lalu
Suami : berumur lingkungan lewat 40an, memegang jawatan agak besar di sebuah syarikat swasta

Isteri : berumur lingkungan pertengahan 40an, suri rumah sepenuh masa
Mempunyai 5 orang anak berumur dari 9-20 tahun

Isteri yang jadi full time housewife sedaya upaya menguruskan segala keperluan si suami
Lepas mandi je, baju seluar, tie, stokin etc. dah tersedia cantik di atas katil
Bila dah siap, turun ke bawah...sarapan dah siap sedia atas meja...
isteri siap sendukkan makanan ke dalam pinggan...
siap tuangkan air ke dalam cawan

Isteri duduk bersama temankan suami bersarapan

Selepas suami ke pejabat, isteri terus membuat kerja² rumah
yang tak pernah habis
Semuanya dibuat dengan teliti dan cermat

Sebelah petang,
bila suami pulang dari pejabat
Isteri akan membuka stokin suami
dan dihulurkan minuman kegemaran suami
buat penghilang lelah seharian bekerja

Kemudian, makan malam yang enak akan dihidang
Isteri akan seperti biasa
sendukkan makanan, tuangkan air
buat suami
Makan bersama menjadi amalan

Walaupun hati isteri pernah beberapa kali disakiti
dek sikap miang si suami
skandal dgn. perempuan lepas satu-persatu
Isteri tetap sabar melayan sang suami

Sebelum hidup senang,
mereka pernah hidup susah
Suami hilang pekerjaan
dan menganggur selama 2 tahun
Isteri terpaksa berniaga menjual air di pasar malam
seorang diri
demi mencari sesuap nasi
buat anak-anak dan SUAMI tercinta

Namun...
apakah balasan yang diterima???

Setelah lebih kurang 20 tahun hidup bersama
isteri ditinggal begitu saja
demi wanita yg lebih muda jelita
tanpa sebarang nafkah diberi
buat anak-anak dan isteri

bayangkan bagaimana
seorang suri rumah nak menyara
5 orang anak tanpa sebarang sumber pendapatan?
tiap kali isteri/anak telefon
sang suami meminta duit belanja
selepas dimaki hamun,
hanya RM50 yang di bank-in
cukupkah RM50 buat anak² yang sedang bersekolah/
berada di universiti?

ke mana hilangnya kasih seorang ayah?
walaupun kasih telah beralih arah
kepada isteri baru...
tapi...
hilang juakah kasih seorang ayah???

Isteri yang ditinggalkan terus tertekan
penyakit mula menghinggap
darah tinggi, lemah jantung, kencing manis, buah pinggang
penyakit 4 serangkai
ditambah dengan tekanan perasaan
meracau² tak sedar diri
hingga beberapa kali hilang pedoman
cuba membunuh diri sendiri

ditambah dengan ilmu hitam yang dikenakan
oleh isteri kedua
sehingga terpaksa berubat ke sana sini
dan akhirnya alhamdulillah
berjaya dipulihkan dengan bantuan ustaz²
di da.rus. syi.fa'

Pada masa yg sama,
jiran tetangga, sahabat handai, saudara mara
terus-terusan memberi kekuatan
sehinggalah seorang demi seorang

sang suami masih enggan 'melepas'kan si isteri
setelah 5 tahun ++ berpisah
walau dah berpuluh kali
naik turun mahkamah syariah
si isteri masih digantung tak bertali
apakah kesudahan nasibnya....
yang semakin hari semakin teruk penyakitnya
kencing manis makin melarat
mata yang terang semakin kabur

apakah kesudahannya...?

harta sepencarian dah tak ingin dituntut katanya
biarlah dituntut di akhirat kelak
hanya satu yang dipinta
lepaskanlah dirinya seadanya.......

walau telah diperlakukan sedemikan rupa oleh sang suami
namun
tiap kali lepas solat
beliau tetap berdoa untuk kesejahteraan hidup suaminya
Allahuakbar...

.

Rasulullah s.a.w bersabda:

Hadith no 212-

then Ummi suka jugak keluaran Power Root

AliCafe & Pearl

waktu preggie 1st trimester aritu

Ummi dah teruja semula utk minum kopi

memang takleh tahannnn

nak jugakkkkk

tapi setakat secawan sehari

dan Ummi pastikan amik pil kalsium b4 tido malam

untuk ganti balik kalsium yang ilang dek minum kopi

aci tak???

then, Ummi jumpa artikel ni pulak dari BabyCentre:

Is it safe to have my morning cup of coffee during pregnancy?

Expert Answers

Jennifer R. Niebyl, ob-gyn

Yes. A morning cup is fine, but to be safe I would suggest that you limit your daily consumption to two cups (since some coffees may contain as much as 100 mg. each).A very extensive study a few years ago looked at women very early in pregnancy. The study found no effects on the fetus when moms drink up to three cups of coffee a day; very few women drank more than that. A more recent study found an increased risk of miscarriage when pregnant women drank more than 200 mg of caffeine per day.

Ronald J. Ruggiero, pharmacy and obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive science

I generally recommend decaffeinated products, but if you must have caffeine, don't have more than one small cup a day.In studies of dairy cattle, when pregnant cows were given more than the equivalent of three cups daily, their calves were born smaller. Too much caffeine also cuts down on blood flow to the placenta, and you don't want to do that because the baby won't be getting as much oxygen or as many nutrients.A new study in San Francisco of 1,000 women in their first trimester has shown a doubling of miscarriage at 200 mg of caffeine per day. That's about the amount of caffeine you'd get if you drank 2 small cups of coffee or 5 cans of caffeinated soda. (Women who drank 200 mg. of caffeine per day had a miscarriage rate of 25 percent; those who drank 100 mg per day had a miscarriage rate of 15 percent, and those who drank no caffeine had a rate of 12 percent.)Based on this new data, I would recommend no more than one small cup (no extra large cups of coffee) or can of products with caffeine per day. (That's a total, so you'll need to avoid multiple sources of caffeine on the same day.) In addition, avoid consuming energy drinks and other products that contain large amounts of caffeine.

The Science of a Happy Marriage

Why do some men and women cheat on their partners while others resist the temptation?
by Tara Parker

To find the answer, a growing body of research is focusing on the science of commitment. Scientists are studying everything from the biological factors that seem to influence marital stability to a person’s psychological response after flirting with a stranger.

Their findings suggest that while some people may be naturally more resistant to temptation, men and women can also train themselves to protect their relationships and raise their feelings of commitment.
Recent studies have raised questions about whether genetic factors may influence
commitment and marital stability.
Hasse Walum, a biologist at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, studied 552 sets of twins to learn more about a gene related to the body’s regulation of the brain chemical vasopressin, a bonding hormone.

Over all, men who carried a variation in the gene were less likely to be married, and those who had wed were more likely to have had serious marital problems and unhappy wives. Among men who carried two copies of the gene variant, about a third had experienced a serious relationship crisis in the past year, double the number seen in the men who did not carry the variant.

Although the trait is often called the “fidelity gene,” Mr. Walum called that a misnomer: his research focused on marital stability, not faithfulness. “It’s difficult to use this information to predict any future behavior in men,” he told me. Now he and his colleagues are working to replicate the findings and conducting similar research in women.

While there may be genetic differences that influence commitment, other studies suggest that the brain can be trained to resist temptation.

A series of unusual studies led by John Lydon, a psychologist at McGill University in Montreal, have looked at how people in a committed relationship react in the face of temptation. In one study, highly committed married men and women were asked to rate the attractiveness of people of the opposite sex in a series of photos. Not surprisingly, they gave the highest ratings to people who would typically be viewed as attractive.

Later, they were shown similar pictures and told that the person was interested in meeting them. In that situation, participants consistently gave those pictures lower scores than they had the first time around.

When they were attracted to someone who might threaten the relationship, they seemed to instinctively tell themselves, “He’s not so great.” “The more committed you are,” Dr. Lydon said, “the less attractive you find other people who threaten your relationship.”

But some of the McGill research has shown gender differences in how we respond to a cheating threat. In a study of 300 heterosexual men and women, half the participants were primed for cheating by imagining a flirtatious conversation with someone they found attractive. The other half just imagined a routine encounter.

Afterward, the study subjects were asked to complete fill-in-the-blank puzzles like LO_AL and THR__T.

Unbeknownst to the participants, the word fragments were a psychological test to reveal subconscious feelings about commitment. (Similar word puzzles are used to study subconscious feelings about prejudice and stereotyping.)
No pattern emerged among the study participants who imagined a routine encounter. But there were differences among men and women who had entertained the flirtatious fantasy. In that group, the men were more likely to complete the puzzles with the neutral words LOCAL and THROAT. But the women who had imagined flirting were far more likely to choose LOYAL and THREAT, suggesting that the exercise had touched off subconscious concerns about commitment.
(Ummi pun try jawab jugak tp: LOCAL & THREAT..huhu)

Of course, this does not necessarily predict behavior in the real world. But the pronounced difference in responses led the researchers to think women might have developed a kind of early warning system to alert them to relationship threats.

Other McGill studies confirmed differences in how men and women react to such threats. In one, attractive actors or actresses were brought in to flirt with study participants in a waiting room. Later, the participants were asked questions about their relationships, particularly how they would respond to a partner’s bad behavior, like being late and forgetting to call.
Men who had just been flirting were less forgiving of the hypothetical bad behavior, suggesting that the attractive actress had momentarily chipped away at their commitment. But women who had been flirting were more likely to be forgiving and to make excuses for the man, suggesting that their earlier flirting had triggered a protective response when discussing their relationship.

We think the men in these studies may have had commitment, but the women had the contingency plan — the attractive alternative sets off the alarm bell,” Dr. Lydon said. “Women implicitly code that as a threat. Men don’t.”

The question is whether a person can be trained to resist temptation. In another study, the team prompted male students who were in committed dating relationships to imagine running into an attractive woman on a weekend when their girlfriends were away. Some of the men were then asked to develop a contingency plan by filling in the sentence “When she approaches me, I will __________ to protect my relationship.”

Because the researchers could not bring in a real woman to act as a temptation, they created a virtual-reality game in which two out of four rooms included subliminal images of an attractive woman. The men who had practiced resisting temptation gravitated toward those rooms 25 percent of the time; for the others, the figure was 62 percent.

But it may not be feelings of love or loyalty that keep couples together. Instead, scientists speculate that your level of commitment may depend on how much a partner enhances your life and broadens your horizons — a concept that Arthur Aron, a psychologist and relationship researcher at Stony Brook University, calls “self-expansion.”

To measure this quality, couples are asked a series of questions:
How much does your partner provide a source of exciting experiences?
How much has knowing your partner made you a better person?
How much do you see your partner as a way to expand your own capabilities?

The Stony Brook researchers conducted experiments using activities that stimulated self-expansion. Some couples were given mundane tasks, while others took part in a silly exercise in which they were tied together and asked to crawl on mats, pushing a foam cylinder with their heads. The study was rigged so the couples failed the time limit on the first two tries, but just barely made it on the third, resulting in much celebration.

Couples were given relationship tests before and after the experiment. Those who had taken part in the challenging activity posted greater increases in love and relationship satisfaction than those who had not experienced victory together.

Now the researchers are embarking on a series of studies to measure how self-expansion influences a relationship. They theorize that couples who explore new places and try new things will tap into feelings of self-expansion, lifting their level of commitment.

“We enter relationships because the other person becomes part of ourselves, and that expands us,” Dr. Aron said. “That’s why people who fall in love stay up all night talking and it feels really exciting. We think couples can get some of that back by doing challenging and exciting things together.”

Alysha duk merengek meragam pepagi
time Ummi tgh siap2 nak g keje
so...Ummi saje jelah on kan tv
kt dalam bilik tuh
kul 7.30am
kat NTV7
kuar lak rancangan 'hi5' nih
terus dia diam
ngadap tv x bergerak2
elok je habis citer 'hi5'
disambung pulak dgn. citer
'Yo Gabba Gabba'
pun dia melekat jugak
.
so sekarang nih
tepat jam 7.30am je
Ummi kene onkan tv
kalo tak,
dia yg akan remind
"Ummi...nak tengok hi5"
then bila citer tu dah mula
& kuar intro song hi5 tuh
dia pun akan cakap
"Ummi...dah tat(start)"
dia akan duduk/baring atas katil
x pedulik kat Ummi dah
Ummi soh salam b4 Ummi nak g keje pun
tak dilayan
.
Ummi dah follow both citer tuh
Alhamdulillah..mmg sesuai untuk dia
educational musical program type
sbb tuh dia leh melekat
dan menarik untuk budak2 seusia dia

H1N1 vaccination

pic here

Semua dah aware kan yang H1N1 second wave dah mula mengganas di negara kita
Ummi pun risau jugak sbb. dah tergolong dalam high risk for severe illness from H1N1 - ibu mengandung...memanglah, dari segi hygiene memang dipertingkatkan buat
kami sekeluarga

dah namanya rezeki...tetiba dapat emel yang company Ummi
dapat 30 free vaccines khas untuk staf yang akan outstation
ke oversea dan juga untuk high risk group...
dan based on 1st come 1st serve basis,
Ummi cecepat reply that emel book 1 place for me
so, arinih Ummi dah pegi ke klinik yang dikhaskan
untuk amik jab H1N1 tu...dan kenalah menunggu
sebab dah ada ramai menunggu kat situ
bila sampai turn Ummi,
macam biasalah doc. tny.
kandungan dah berapa minggu,
baby ada masalah ke tak, etc.

then, bila doc. nak suntik je
baru Ummi perasan yg Ummi pakai
maternity blouse yg. takde butang kat depan
jenuh le nurse & doc. tuh
duk susah payah turunkan
baju Ummi dari atas sebab nak jab. kat bahu
sib baik dapat doc. ppuan yg baik & lemah-lembut
fuh...

dah selesai jab
dapat ubat demam
dan doc. mmg. cakap le side effect after jab. tuh
tangan yg kene jab tuh akan rasa lenguh
(sbb. tuh dia jab belah kiri sbb Ummi right-handed person)
dan mungkin akan demam
moga-moga tak demam le hendaknya
yelah, Ummi baru je recover dari demam
tak larat le nak demam pulak

Down with fever

pic credit here
Lepas 2 round anak² demam
Turn Ummi pulak yg kene
Semalam Ummi MC sebab demam selsema
Hari Isnin tengahari lagi Ummi dah rasa semacam
pening kepala rasa berpusing²
balik dari keje terus g klinik
memang temperature dah naik
pastu asek bersin je
terus dapat MC untuk hari Selasa
nak melangkah kaki pun rasa tak larat
badan habis sakit²
Semalam memang tak larat sangat
nak bangun dari katil pun hazab
sebab pening bergoyang
sudahnya asek melepek atas katil je
sambil layan tv
si Alysha bila Ummi ada kat umah
memang tak berenggang
rehat gitu-gitu ajelah
sebab asek melayan budak sorang tuh
Ummi baca Pa&Ma lama²
dia pun sibuk
asek tanya itu apa, ini apa
Ummi terpaksa layan gak
walau mata asek nak terkatup
sampai satu masa
Ummi dah rasa tak larat sangat
Ummi bagitau Alysha
'Ummi tak larat le dik, Ummi nak tido...boleh tak dik?'
dia jawab 'bolehhh'
then dia pun tutup buku & baring atas lengan Ummi
sedar² rupanya both of us tertido sama²
Alhamdulillah, petang tu fever Ummi memang dah down
selsema je masih berterusan
yang tak syioknya
si Alysha pulak asek 'achoom²'
mula bersin
adehhh...
berjangkit pulak dia
yelah kan...dah melekat ngan Ummi
tak berenggang seharian
cecepat Ummi bagi dia scott's emulsion
moga cepat sembuh dik ye...

2nd Checkup @ 21 weeks

Last Friday, Ummi & Ayah cuti (cuti gantian sempena Hari Buruh pada hari Sabtu) tapi budak² sekolah macam biasa. Pagi² Ummi, Ayah & Alysha keluar dari rumah jam 8am untuk ke Pantai Hosp. untuk monthly baby checkup. Mulanya, Ayah tanya nak bekfes dulu ke tak? Ummi cakap nak bekfes lepas checkup jelah kat Ipoh.

Asek sangat berborak dalam keta...nak jadi citer, Ayah terlepas simpang masuk ke Bt. Gajah untuk ke Spg. Pulai...adesss...Ayah dah malas nak berpatah balik...so, terus jelah nak masuk ikut bandar Ipoh...Ummi sajes Ayah terus je sampai nak ke tol Ipoh..tapi, Ayah nak amik shortcut kekununnya masuk terus ikut jalan tepi Tesco Station 18....sudahnya...daripada nak shortcut, dah jadik longcut la pulak....dekat pukul 9.30am baru sampai ke hospital...

Parking pulak penuh...so Ayah turunkan Ummi & Alysha kat main entrance hospital tuh...then, ada pulak staf hospital tuh suruh Ayah pusing sbb diorang ada sediakan valet parking service-->complimentary aka. FOC...wah²...ini sudah bagus...Ayah kasi je kunci keta, biar diorang yg carikan parking...

Baru je melangkah masuk tru pintu utama tuh, dah kene stop pulak..
ada nurse bertugas yg pakai face mask kene amik body temperature
semua yg melalui pintu tuh
then, dia lekatkan sticker biru kat baju kami
menandakan 'free from fever'
maklumlah,
gelombang ke 2 H1N1 dah datang balik
nau'zubillahiminzaalik

Bila sampai kat kaunter Datin Mimin,
dah ada 2 patient makyong menunggu
so, Ummi assume Ummi patient yg ke-3 lah
dah timbang berat badan & ambil urine
Ummi tunggu dan tunggu dan tunggu
apesal tak gerak² nih?
2 patient tadi pun masih ada kat situ
bila Ummi pegi tanya kat counter
katanya 'doc is on the way'
laaaa....doc lom sampai rupanya
perut Ummi dah keriuk²
Ummi memang takleh bekfes lambat
mood terus ke laut jadiknya
around jam 10.30,
Ummi bgtau Ayah Ummi nak g cari
roti kat bawah
elok je Ummi smp groundfloor
Ayah call katanya dah patient ke 2 masuk bilik doc.
Ummi tekan lif naik ke atas balik

tak sampai 5 minit dah tiba giliran Ummi
bila doc check
syukur kali ni BP dah back to normal
berat Ummi pun naik 1 kg
berat baby about 407g
yang bestnya
sepanjang 5 kali mengandung
inilah 1st time Ummi dapat doc
yang buat thorough scan
dia scan tengok:
-jumlah cecair dlm otak baby
-garis pemisah otak kiri & kanan
-serebelum
-all the 4 blocks kat jantung tuh bersambung elok ke tak
-keadaan bibir bercantum elok ke tak
-buah pinggang
-air ketuban
-kedudukan uri dari pintu rahim
-kedudukan tali pusat

dia check keadaan organ dalaman baby
untuk check any abnormalities
alhamdulillah..so far
semua dalam keadaan baik
waktu doc closeup kat muka dia
comey jek tengok mulut dia bergerak²
terbuka seolah² tengah mamam
comeiiii
cuma....
bila doc. nak check gender baby
boleh pulak baby duk mengiring
kepit both kaki
puas doc. godek sana sini
nak tengok from different angles
tak nampak² jugak
isk...
dahla Ummi dah mula meroyan nak beli baju/barang baby
doc cakap next checkup kita tengok lagi
either boy or girl
baby Ummi nih pemaloo ye
next checkup baby tunjukkan kat Ummi ye
boboy ke gegirl
hahaha

*dalam tatau gender pun, Ummi dah rembat 5 pasang baju baby
cumanya, takleh amik pink or blue lah...huhu*

Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.
